Narrowing the gap between domestic and imported

Sources said that about 6 million tons of wheat have not been supplied to the government and are traded in the local market, which is enough to meet the needs of Egyptians.
He added that the government plans to buy 4 million tons of GDP from farmers, with few exports due to non-competitive prices compared to Russian and Ukrainian wheat.
According to the Ministry of Agriculture and Land Reclamation, the area of wheat in Egypt increased slightly in 2019/2020 to 3.171 million feddans in 2019/2020 compared to 3.135 million feddans in 2018. / 2019 before rising to nearly 3.3 million feddans last year.
