The Commercial Office of the Egyptian Embassy in the Polish capital Warsaw, in cooperation with the Polish Authority for the Development of Food and Agricultural Industries and the Commercial Office of the Polish Embassy in Cairo, organized – through the video conference feature – the first Egyptian-Polish conference for food and agriculture.

On the Egyptian side, commercial advisor Essam El-Najjar, head of the Egyptian Commercial Office in Warsaw, representatives of the Agricultural Export Council, the Ministry of Agriculture and Land Reclamation, the Chamber of Food Industries in the Federation of Industries, the Agricultural Research Center, the Egypt Crops Initiative, the Industrial Development Authority, the Egyptian Agricultural Bank and the Egyptian-African Businessmen Association participated in the forum’s activities. On the Polish side, representatives of the Polish Embassy in Cairo, the National Support Center for Agriculture, the Ministry of Agriculture and Urban Development, the National Development Bank, Warsaw University of Life Sciences, the Polish Chamber of Commerce, the Potato Producers Union, the Federation of Livestock and Dairy Producers, the Association of Vegetable and Fruit Distributors, the Association of Food Products and more than 80 specialized Polish companies in the field of food.

The conference activities reviewed possible areas of cooperation between Egypt and Poland to develop exports and joint investments, which include greenhouse projects, agricultural waste recycling, processing agricultural laboratories, and non-heat drying products, in addition to opportunities for investment cooperation between Egypt and Poland in the countries of the African continent.

The Polish side also praised the positive developments at the level of economic relations between the two countries, as well as the existence of real opportunities for cooperation between Egypt and Poland in a large number of fields, as an agreement is being finalized for cooperation in the field of agricultural research and development of fisheries wealth between the two countries.
