Egypt and Sudan stressed the importance of continuing serious negotiations on the Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam under the auspices of the African Union to reach a binding legal agreement that serves the interests of the three countries, while Ethiopia called for effective participation in the negotiations as soon as possible. possible.

In a joint statement, the Sudanese and Egyptian foreign ministers stressed the importance of continuing to follow up on the serious negotiations on the Renaissance Dam under the auspices of the African Union President in order to reach a binding legal agreement that serves the interests of the two countries. The three countries also called on Egypt to actively participate in these negotiations as soon as possible.

They affirmed the continuation of efforts to strengthen bilateral relations between the two countries in various fields, based on the eternal ties that bind the two countries, the historical relationship, the unity of tracks and the destiny of the peoples of the Nile Valley.
The two ministers affirmed that the two brotherly countries will continue to discuss the challenges they face in coordination. And the importance of coordinating positions on regional and international issues of common interest.
Egypt and Sudan also agreed on the importance of preserving Sudan’s unity, safety and sovereignty over its lands, stressing their support for the ongoing efforts aimed at achieving sustainable stability in the country.
